Indian trade routes and Dunedin port

Indian trade routes and Dunedin port

INDIA is India ... a land that has always attracted travelers, researchers, traders. And it has always been in the spotlight in world history. The abundance of India's natural resources, agricultural products, ornaments, spices, etc., and even the essential salt of daily life attracted Western travelers, merchants, and the kings of those countries to India. And the pinnacle of all this is Indian philosophy .... which is still eternal in the world today .... Buddha Dhamma that Indians have ... Indian culture .... Indian knowledge has been prevalent in the world since ancient times ....
And the fascination with such a culture, civilization, tradition, philosophy was felt by the western countries, especially the Roman and Greek kingdoms and their subjects. From here, things get trickier, and this is where the true treasure of India comes in. And it was from this trade that cultural unity, economic exchanges began.
The word India (INDIA) was first used by the original Greeks "INDIA (India) across the Indus

(INDUS) ... "In today's modern age, you can get any information about the world in a matter of moments. Through Google Earth, it has become easy to see the whole earth from two fingers up close and even from a distance. But in ancient times, about two and a half thousand years ago, these westerners I can't even imagine how I could have gathered information about a country so far away.

But they did it with small ships, sailing ships, and initially reached the Indus Valley. Instead of going to the deep sea, they continued to travel through the sea on the side of the land. Eventually they became aware of the winds, using the northeast monsoon winds from June to September and using these monsoon winds, they easily crossed the Indian Ocean directly from the port of Eden and reached the west coast of India. And they traveled back and forth with the northeast monsoon winds blowing from November to February. EUDOXUS / HIPPALUS was the first to discover or realize this wind ... It is said that this wind was known to Indian sailors. And he was the one who informed the merchants. In the first century BCE, EUDOXUS was taken by an Indian sailor who used these winds to lead the way directly from New Eden to India. Since then more and more ships have landed at Indian ports .. These foreign sailors have discovered many new sea lanes .. They have used the trade routes skillfully .. The information about the trade of small places of these routes was only verbally communicated to each other .. (PTOLEMY Made a world map by deep study on this) ..

Think about it. 2000 years ago, in the streets of Rome, everyone knew the names of markets in India like Pataliputra, Ter, Paithan, Ujjain, Sopara, Madurai, Kalyan ... There was so much trade. And it can be said with certainty that the promotion of this foreign trade was done with foresight by Emperor Chandragupta Maurya of India, Emperor Ashoka of Satavahana in the south, Pandya ... It was because of this trade route that India flourished ... Indian civilization .. Culture reached the world .. Indian Buddhist Dhamma reached the world ... and what is special is that there are many ancient caves on this trade route .. Buddhist monks used to travel with traders .. Dhamma used to give desna .. Due to their conduct, many traders were inspired by Buddhist philosophy. Accepted the Buddhist Dhamma ... preached ... in many caves we find inscriptions mentioning donations by the Yavans even today ..
The demolished Waghiwali Wada Buddhist caves were also on the same ancient trade route. Nalasopara, Kalyan, Doongi, Chaul were 4 important ports near Mumbai. That's it. The ancient port of Dungi was on the present Kalundre river. What we call Pargaon Dungi today is Dungi Bunder .. which was mentioned by Ptolemy, Periplus (the author is not known) in his book 2000 years ago .. Indeed our history is very rich .. Today's Mumbai has been the financial capital of the country for about two and a half thousand years. Yes .. International trade still takes place from Mumbai .. Today we are forgetting this profound history .. And the same history is being destroyed forever by the opposition in the name of modernization .. Never to be found ..... And we are all responsible for this. Directly or indirectly, we are the ones who are ruining our culture ...
Conflict is inevitable .....
