When Dilip Kumar meets Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar
From the founding of Milind College to its erection, Mai Ambedkar was like a shadow with him. Maisaheb's younger brother Balu Kabir was also with him to see if Babasaheb wanted anything. Dilip Kumar was at the peak of his popularity at that time. Many of the films that followed him were terrifying. At the same time as Babasaheb's stay, Dilip Kumar was also staying at the Sem Hotel in Aurangabad.
Balu Kabir and Dilip Kumar came to know that Babasaheb was staying in the hotel where he was staying. He brought Dilip Kumar and Babasaheb together. The primary introduction was made by Balu Kabir. Babasaheb also welcomed Dilip Kumar with affection. They chatted on many topics. From politics to cinema. Then came the subject of Milind College. Dilip Kumar proposed to Babasaheb to donate a lot for Milind College. Babasaheb was listening quietly. And calmed down again with a small smile at their proposal. Dilip Kumar again put forward a donation proposal and insisted on naming the entrance of Milind College after himself.
But now Babasaheb is angry. He said in Dilip Kumar's harsh words that he was convinced again that people in the world of cinema do not have a thing called character. There was a lot of communication. Babasaheb had returned the money offered by Dilip Kumar and him with a huge blanket. Dilip Kumar left.
Speaking on the occasion, Balu Kabir said,
"It simply came to our notice then. The educational institutions we run are in dire need of financial support right now. If you had treated him kindly and requested him, he would have easily donated thousands of rupees to your organization.
Infuriated by Mevhan's words, Babasaheb made it clear to Balu Kabir that,
"What are you saying?" You are stupid I have never expected money from people who have made a fortune by displaying their modesty and character. I will never do a holy deed like the gift of knowledge on the strength of the help of those who have amassed wealth through unrighteous and corrupt ways. Then even better if my organization dies!
In short, the intention of the donor of money is important. The amount given by him is insignificant. Dikki's entrepreneurs who believe that the government is very constitutional as it has given Rs 125 crore should definitely read this episode. And the right lesson should be learned from it. And at lunch, we should thank Babasaheb for teaching us morality. Because today Milind College stands tall without any help. Other colleges have given more than one great people to India. I will write about them slowly .. I will stop here immediately.
This book written by Mai Ambedkar can be read in the company of Babasaheb for the context of this incident.
